Our Grappa di Sangiovese is obtained from the distillation of “vinacce”, or marks, the leavings of the grapes after the pressing for winemaking. This is a process that is a tradition hundred of years old. Red “vinacce” participate in the fermentation, where they gain alcohol as they provide tannins and other compounds to the wine. Since the grapes are never pressed dry, considerably more substance remains behind. Our world wide famous distiller, Gioacchino Nannoni, knows how to make our grappa clean tasting and with a heady fresh-fruit-and-berry bouquet.
The wine shop also proposes other famous grappa typical of Tuscany, like:
• Grappa di Morellino di Scansano
• Grappa di Brunello di Montalcino
• Grappa di Nobile di Montepulciano
• Grappa da Vinacce di Uve Biologiche
• Grappa Artigianale al Miele
• Grappa Artigianale alla Frutta
• Grappa della Maremma in Barriques
